Djiman Tendra is from Belitung, a small island near the eastern coast of Sumatra. Whenever he is in his hometown, he often goes to Tanjung Tinggi beach.
Djiman Tendra is from Belitung, a small island near the eastern coast of Sumatra. Whenever he is in his hometown, he often goes to Tanjung Tinggi beach. He likes sitting on the rock, admiring the wonderful scene at sunset.
After graduating from high school, he went to Taiwan and where he broadened the knowledge of Mandarin at National Taiwan University. He worked at the branch office of PT KING KAOLIN LESTARI INDONESIA as an Indonesian-Mandarin translator in his spare time.
As soon as he returned to Indonesia, he helped the Belitung local government to promote tourism and worked as a tour guide (Belitung-Bangka-Jakarta in 1992). He quitted his job in 1993 and then he taught word processor and spreadsheet at PETER EDUCATIONAL CENTRE in Tanjung Pandan until 2001. Later, he moved to Jakarta and worked at PT BANGUN PUSAKA as an interpreter in the year 2002. He changed his profession at the end of that year and started teaching Mandarin.
Now, he is a Mandarin teacher at THE GANDHI MEMORIAL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL. He loves languages and has decided to seek more experiences, so that he joins SENTRAL LINGUA after school hours.
His hobbies are reading, listening to music, traveling, sport and yogic meditation. His motto is “Never too old to learn.”
